Overview
The Global Payments extension integrates Magento 2 with Global Payments, one of the world’s largest payment technology companies. It supports two checkout integration modes — an embedded payment form and a Hosted Payment Page — giving merchants the choice between a fully branded experience and minimal PCI scope.
Compatible with Magento 2.3–2.4 Open Source, Adobe Commerce, and Adobe Commerce Cloud. Hyvä Checkout 1.3.0+ is supported. A Global Payments merchant account is required.
Features
- Remote Integration (API) — renders a fully customisable payment form directly on the checkout page; no redirects, complete control over look and feel
- Hosted Payment Page (HPP) — payment processed on a Global Payments PCI Level 1 server; the result is returned to checkout, minimising PCI scope to SAQ-A
- 3D Secure 2 — cardholder authentication via 3DS2 and Amex SafeKey for qualifying transactions
- Fraud management — configurable fraud filters using CVN, AVS, 3DS result, and Amex SafeKey; transactions can be passed, held, or blocked
- Card storage & tokenization — customers store cards securely via Magento Vault; card data held on Global Payments servers, never in Magento
- Apple Pay & Google Pay — digital wallet payment methods supported from v4.0.0
- MOTO orders — create orders and capture payments from the Magento Admin for mail and telephone orders
- Authorise and Capture / Authorise Only — choose the capture flow that matches your fulfilment process
- Partial invoices and refunds — multi-settlement and partial credit memos supported
- Transaction management — settle, refund, and void transactions directly from the Admin order view
- Settlement report — all transactions available under Sales → Global Payments Transactions; export to CSV
- AVS and CVN results — displayed on the order view page for quick fraud assessment
- Multi-store support — separate Global Payments accounts configurable per store view
- Hyvä Checkout compatible — tested with Hyvä Checkout 1.3.0+
- Dynamic Currency Conversion — available as a separate DCC add-on
