Overview
The Meta Pixel extension adds the Meta Pixel base code to every page of your Magento 2 storefront and fires structured ecommerce events as shoppers interact with the store. The events feed Meta Ads Manager with the data needed for conversion tracking, audience building, and Dynamic Ads — all configured from the Magento Admin with no template modifications.
Compatible with Magento 2.3–2.4 Open Source, Adobe Commerce, and Adobe Commerce Cloud. A Meta Business account with a Pixel ID is required.
How It Works
The extension injects the Meta Pixel script into every storefront page via Magento’s layout system. As customers browse and interact with the store, the extension fires the corresponding Meta standard events: ViewContent on product and category pages, AddToCart when a product is added, InitiateCheckout when the checkout begins, and Purchase with order value on the success page. Each event type can be individually enabled or disabled from the Admin configuration.
For Dynamic Ads, the extension passes product IDs and catalogue data with the events so Meta can match interactions to your product catalogue and serve personalised retargeting ads.
