Overview
The Google Ads Dynamic Remarketing extension adds the Google Ads global site tag to every page of your Magento 2 store and fires conversion and product interaction events that Google Ads uses to build remarketing audiences and run dynamic product campaigns. When a customer visits your store, browses products, and leaves without purchasing, the tag data allows Google to show them targeted ads — including ads featuring the specific products they viewed — across the Google Display Network, YouTube, and Gmail.
Compatible with Magento 2.4 Open Source, Adobe Commerce, and Adobe Commerce Cloud. A Google Ads account is required.
How It Works
The extension injects the Google Ads tag on every storefront page. On product pages, it sends product identifiers to Google so interactions can be matched to your Google Merchant Centre product feed for dynamic ad generation. On the order success page, it fires a conversion event with the correct order value and currency, sending accurate revenue data back to your Google Ads campaign for attribution and automated bidding.
Remarketing audiences are built automatically as shoppers browse — segmented by the pages visited, products viewed, and checkout stages reached.

Use Case
Google Ads remarketing requires the global site tag to be present on every page and a conversion event on the order success page. Without these, Google Ads cannot attribute conversions to campaigns, cannot build audiences for Display Network targeting, and cannot generate dynamic product ads.
