Magento 2 Elavon Payment Press Release

New Elavon Payment module 2.1.1 release is available for download. The release includes Magento Open Source 2.2 and Magento Commerce 2.2 support, enhanced security, and improved payment experience.

Highlights

Elavon Payments 2.1.1 release includes the following improvements:

Magento 2.2 Support

We are excited to announce support for the latest Magento Open Source 2.2.0 and Magento Commerce 2.2.0releases. Your ecommerce store can benefit from the latest features introduced in the Magento 2.2.0 release without affecting customer payments experience. The latest Elavon Payment 2.1.1 release has been carefully tested with the latest Magento 2.2 release.

Enhanced Security

In order to continue adhering to Security best practice regarding strong cryptography standards all API URLs have been revisited and updated. Additional settings have been added to better control Elavon integration via Magento Admin for both Remote Integration and Hosted Payment Page.

The API URLs for the Remote Integration are available in a Magento Admin. Settings are under the Stores -> Configuration -> Sales -> Payment Methods -> Elavon -> Advanced Settings section.

Fraud Management

Elavon Payment Fraud Management configuration has been improved from the usability point of view. Starting from the 2.1.1 version, the Fraud Filter Mode setting is hidden when the Fraud Management feature is disabled.

The Fraud Management section in Magento Admin can be found at Stores -> Configuration -> Sales -> Payment Methods -> Elavon -> Fraud Management section.

Additional configuration becomes visible when the Enable Fraud Management setting is set to Yes.

Other Elavon Module Changes

The Elavon 2.1.1 also includes the following improvements to the code:

  • Updated Elavon Payment API URLs
  • Updated Magento 2.2.0 module dependencies
  • Fixed Magento 2.2.0 serialization issue with the configuration
  • Fixed Magento 2.x issue with compilation
  • Removed dependency from monolog/monolog package
  • Added explicit dependency on psr/log in composer.json file
  • Removed PHP versions from composer.json file

We are working on new features and improvements and updates are coming soon.
